Senpai Jasmin

Senpai Jasmin Savignac began his journey in Kyokushin Karate in March 2002 at the JAB Dojo, led by Sensei Alain Boisjoli, Judith Keene, and Bruno Deschênes. He successfully participated in numerous local competitions within the province and in New Brunswick.

When he reached his 2nd kyu (brown belt), he started officiating competitions as a Fukushin (corner judge), attended several seminars conducted by the Canadian representative of IKO3, Matsushima, Shihan Roman Szyrajew, and began teaching and coaching his knowledge to the members of his dojo.

After 4 years of intensive training, practicing four times a week, he was presented to Kancho Matshushima on May 21, 2006, for his Shodan test. He was one of the first two students from his dojo to achieve this rank.

He continued his learning with various instructors, including Shihan Roman Szyrajew at Shihan Roman's Pointe-Claire dojo. Finally, he continued his training at Shinka Dojo in Laval with Shihan Paul Bourgoin and Sensei Marc Pronovost. On June 21, 2014, he passed his Nidan examination in front of Shihan Roman Szyrajew.

Senpai Jasmin Savignac actively participates in various training camps, clinics, and seminars, including several in Old Orchard Beach and Japan in 2016, as well as referee training (Fukushin certification for IKO Matsushima obtained in April 2017).

He continues to actively contribute to various activities at the dojo and in teaching.
